Univ.-Prof. Dr. phil. Eva-Maria Jakobs is a linguist and communicologist. She worked and did research at different universities domestic and abroad, before in 1999 she was appointed to the Institute for Linguistics and Communicology at RWTH Aachen University, where she coordinates the interdisciplinary studies communication in technology. Her activity emphases are professional communication in economy and engineering, textual linguistics, electronic media and usability research, text mining and perception of technology.
