Alexander Peine is Assistant Professor of Science, Technology and Innovation Studies (STI-Studies) at the University of Utrecht. Moreover he serves as board member of the International Society for Gerontology (ISG) and works in the social advisory board of the joint-programming initiative “More Years, Better Lives” of the EU (JPI-MYBL).
Mr Peine does research on innovation dynamics in the ICT sector and its structural surrounding, dealing with the internet of things, smart homes and AAL systems. His work is about new technology improving life quality and social participation – and especially about the needs of elderly people (“gerontechnology”).
